Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Twisty Tail Mascara Review

We all know that skincare works different depending on your skintype and skin sensitivity on each individual. How about mascara?  Also here, we have the problem, that every person has different eye lashes, some have more and some have less. And also the length of our lashes is different from one another. I have long lashes, but not many. I need mascara to give volume to my lashes and to give them a nice upward curl. The Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Twisty Tail Mascara promises exactly that. Does it also perform like its name?

Description

This mascara features an ergonomically designed, flamingo neck-shaped brush that maximizes lifting, curling, lengthening, and volumizing effects of lashes—in one effortless stroke. With a simple twist of the dial on the cap, the brush bends to fit the contours of your lashes, targeting every corner of your eyes. Packaging

The packaging is so fun. The Dinoplatz Twisty Tail Mascara comes in a cardboard packaging with a black-and-white 3D illustration by Korean artist Hatori Sando. The concept was to create “the new from the old” with illustrations of dinosaurs roaming around the “building-forests” of New York City. 

The mascara itself comes in a white tube. The wand is quite large and round, with medium bristles. But of course the main point of interest here is the twisty tail. When you twist the bottom of the handle of the wand, the brush head bends up to 90 degrees.

The twisting end of the cap is really a fabulous idea.  I love how it actually changes the shape of the brush and it isn’t gimmicky.  It actually works for the purpose in which it was created!

Texture and Formula

This mascara has a drier formula. It's silky and not too wet, even brand-new, which translates to easier application and less clumping. It stays put throughout the day and the finish is natural-looking. 

So for the results.  As you can see in the below picture, my lashes came alive with this mascara. They weren’t clumpy at all.  There was definitely volume and length added. The overall look was perfect.

Pros :

 The packaging is ridiculously cute and quirky, to the point that even though I’ve already opened the mascara to use, I still have the packaging in my room

 Lightweight texture

 Flexible curving mascara that bends to perfectly curl and coat every lash

 The tube of the mascara is matte, so no fingerprints there.

 It also lengthens my lashes, despite lengthening and voluminising (this means about 3 coats at the minimum), it doesn’t clump.

Cons :

Overall, TCFS definitely gets points for always having the most interesting and often over the top packaging. This mascara applies very easy and makes my lashes look more defined and curled upwards. It also makes them appear longer but doesn’t clump the lashes together. The lashes appear thicker than without the coat of mascara, which gives the eyesmore depth. The mascara lasts all day with me and the lashes are still curled in the evening. As a last plus, this mascara is easy to cleanse off.
