Etude House Color Pop Shine Tint Review
Etude House came out with a mini-size edition of their Color Pop Shine Tint Mini. I thought it was the perfect chance for me to test it out since their mini version is super affordable. I seriously love lip tints, and the majority of the tints I own are red, so I thought I should try out orange this time around.
Description:
This is a 3-in-1 magic gloss tint that glides on in a perfect combination of smoothness and shine, with a lip stain formula that provides vivid color and long-lasting shine.
Directions
Use tip to gather and apply tint. Apply extra layer for added coverage.
One thing I love about Etude House’s Color Pop tint is the wide range of colours they offer. You can find colours from red to orange to pink to nude and even to burgundy. I have the Etude House Color Pop Shine Tint in no. 3 Vita Pop.
Packaging:
The box packaging follows along with the rest of the line, sporting an almost retro polkadot box. Sunny Pop, specifically, is packaged in a vibrant, dark tangerine colour that matches the shade inside.
The bottle packaging also seems plain, especially since Etude House products always have cute princessy packaging whereas this one is plain white and just has a sticker on it. It just disappoints me a bit because the box is so cute!
The wand is a tear drop applicator, which makes this ideal for distributing product around the cupid's bow with maximum precision! I assume this loads enough product onto the applicator so you don't have to keep dipping the wand in and out of the tube several times.
Texture
They texture is some what like a lighter cream liquid lipstick with a creamy texture and finish that isn’t quite a stain. It doesn't feel heavy on the lips and I find that it glides on so smoothly and evenly. Because of it's creamy texture, it's much easier to blend since it doesn't dry very fast. I wouldn't say its moisturizing, but it doesn't really dry out my lips as much as a regular watery tint does.
Lasting Power:
It doesn't last very long especially because it doesn't dry very quickly. If you eat food or drink anything, it will immediately come right off. Otherwise on it's own, I'd say maximum it lasts four hours which is ridiculous because I was hoping it'd last much longer since it is supposed to stain.
Overall, For me…they feel, look, and act like a really light weight liquid lipstick. Even the drier feel has that liquid lipstick vibe going on. They don’t stain lips nor do they have a lasting staining effect. They do however, provide subtle color to lips that will last about three to four hours. As for flavor or fragrance…there is some orange perfume-y taste going on here but it is very, very subtle. I think since it’s mini sized it is convenient to carry around. Since it’s affordable and comes in many different colours it gives you the chance to try out a variety of colours. I don’t know about you, but I have never finished a lip product before in my life, so even though this product is small I am sure it will last me for a while
